Why do you not fit in?
Holiness was never meant to be average.

If you studied statistics, economics, or any field of study that involves graphs, one of the first things you learn is to “clean up the data”. Outliers are considered measurement errors. They are erased. Students are told to look for the typical behavior, not the unusual.
But this is not the way of the true Christian.
Imagine living a life comparing ourselves to the average. What kind of benchmark is this with which we inspire ourselves??
Those living in pride, lust, greed, envy, gluttony, anger, sloth, vanity, attached to comforts and luxuries… these are not the outliers.
The saints are.
The saints are the ones who, like thunder, tear apart the skies. They’re the ones who enter the world as if they never belonged to it. And they’re the ones who pierce your own world only to leave your heart searching upwards for the source of its wound.
The saints don't fit the mold because the mold itself is faulty. So dare to be the outlier. But let your 'oddity' point upward.
Remember that you are meant to be this “insignificant” little datapoint that elevates the trend lines and transforms the averages!

A graph showing where you ought to be.
So, begin with a saint's biography and see how you too can make the world wonder.
