What does the rainbow mean?

Hint: it’s not about pride.

Morning Frank,

Let’s get you outa here buddy.

Why did God give Noah a Rainbow, anyway?

To answer this question, We’re gonna travel waaaaaayyy back in time.

Nope, not here.

Back!

STOP, HERE!

Sheesh, what a trip.

The moment God presents Eve to Adam:

You see, before the Fall, marriage was supposed to be the only sacrament.

There was no 7 sacraments, only 1!

Marriage.

Yes, Frank.

And guess what? The marriage of Adam and Eve was like a light that pointed to God. Because it fully expressed God’s love.

But then…

Satan ruptured the original sacrament.

Say, what happens when you fracture light?

Let’s look at it closely:

COLORS!

When a pure light is fractured, out come 7 colors!

Right, Frank. You see, God turned a bad situation into something good.

Even though there was a rupture between Adam and Eve, and between them and God, out of this rupture came out…

tHe rAiNbOw 🌈

7 symbolizes perfection but it is also the same number of Sacraments we have in the Church!

When God showed Noah the Rainbow, He wasn't just having fun with colors. He used the Rainbow as a covenant between Himself and humanity.

By doing so, he also foreshadowed the 7 sacraments that Christ would institute to bring us back to the 1 unity of marriage with God!

From 1 → 7 and from 7 → 1.

The Father’s plan from all eternity was for His Son to have a bride.

Who is the bride? The Church.

What is Heaven? An eternal marriage between us and Jesus Christ.

Baa,

Stay Holy 🐑
