The #1 core reason why you keep sinning
It's not about getting rid of evil.

I was attending an online Bible course taught by a priest.
During the Q&A, a young Lebanese woman raises her hand.
[Context: in Lebanon, daily electrical outages are common; a visible sign of corruption and darkness]
She asks:
“How do I save myself from my repetitive sin?
Priest: Listen very well. How is Lebanon saved from darkness?
Woman: With electricity. Giggles
Priest: That’s right. The country is saved from darkness when it turns towards light.
Woman: Yeah… I get it now.
Priest: Your battle is not to get rid of evil. Let no one here fight this battle! Your true battle is in how much you fill yourself with goodness. picks up an empty cup. Look, we never say, “How can I get rid of the emptiness of this cup?” What do we do to eliminate its emptiness?
pause
Woman: We fill it.
Priest: gently nods. We fill it. Your struggle is NOT in getting rid of evil. Your struggle is in filling yourself with the presence of God. That is your true battle. And, as a result, the evil by itself will be expelled.
